If you look closely at the picture you will notice that the trees are underwater. The Seine has overflowed onto the river banks and the express lanes are closed. No more romantic promenades au bord de la Seine - although who would do that at 1 degree celsius. When as I was a student at the Louvre we had to sign a "volunteer" form to help save the collections if the Seine were ever to rise to levels that could enter into the reserves. We're not there yet, thankfully. In fact this is a pretty average level for the month of March. So, I wonder what March will be like?
But all that means lots of this.
