Alain Delorme au Bon Marché

If I have the time this week-end - it is also my husband's birthday - I would like to swing by the Bon Marché and see this.

Bon Week-end

Sleep Elevations 2010 by French artist, Maia Flore

I'm sick with a cold and feel completely sleep deprived. My daughter decided to get up at 6:48am. She always gets up at 6:48am. How do they do that! Our babysitter can't come this week-end, she's gone olive picking in the South of France. So the week-end begins a little bumpy.

We will be drinking hot-chocolate and viewing the Christmas window here.
Searching desperately for mittens like these.
I'll be making these this with my son.
And if I weren't so sick, I'd go to see Inès de la Fressange reveal her secrets to Parisian chic here.

Gainsbourg at Sotheby's Paris

When I first I arrived in Paris I did not know who Serge Gainsbourg was, let alone Jane Birkin or their daughter Charlotte, both pictured above. Shocking, I know! The three are French icons and the cultural references are endless. A collection of photos of the singer/songwriter/actor/director is soon to be put on sale on a non-auction basis at Sotheby's Paris. Photographers include William Klein, Michel Giniès, and Helmut Newton. See a slide show here.
